Job summary

CDM Smith's Perry Group division seeks an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, quality control, and safety oversight on client projects. The role is field-based, with work performed on-site under general supervision and may be in the field or office depending on project needs.

Travel is 100% across the United States; applicants should have the ability to operate at multiple project locations and work in a heavy industrial

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor’s degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations from scheduling, daily/quality reports, conformance to drawings/specifications, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, and meets quality control measures and the drawings' intent.
• Ensure all work adheres to the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label each photograph.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revision for construction.
• Provide assistance to Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May be responsible for key trades/subcontractors in support of the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with Project Manager.
