The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is a full-service design-build and construction management firm. This field-oriented role supports field operations at client project sites with emphasis on scheduling, reporting, quality control, and coordination with subcontractors.

The Intermediate Construction Professional will perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, and safety support under general supervision; travel to project locations across the United States is required,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control, conformances to drawings, specifications, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, and meets quality control measures and drawing intent.
• Ensure all work adheres to the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label/identify each photograph.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions.
• Assist Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May be responsible for key trades/subcontractors in support of the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with the Project Manager.
• Maintain proper correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records and files per CDM Smith document control requirements.
• Follow the CDM Smith Quality Policy and related Instructions.
