Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a seasoned project delivery leader to guide resources, manage client relationships, and deliver small to medium projects or segments of larger programs. You will oversee finances, schedules, and client satisfaction while traveling to Federal locations across the United States.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of construction management experience, deep knowledge of building systems, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field, or applicable experience.
• 5+ years’ experience, including construction team management.
• In-depth knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, lighting, controls, generation, and water systems.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of building construction processes and methods, building codes and permitting.
• Strong computer skills, including, ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel and Microsoft Projects.
• Works at a project site.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium projects or portions of larger projects.
• Manage and maintain positive client relationships.
• Oversee budget reports, cost and revenue projections, and change orders.
• Ensure cashflow positive via schedule of values and client invoicing.
• Organize and lead project meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to keep scope and schedule on track.
• Mitigate project risks with project team to avoid write-downs.
• Manage contract documentation from kickoff to closeout.
• Facilitate communications about project scope with subcontractors and clients.
