Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an experienced project leader to manage small projects or portions of larger initiatives. You will oversee schedules, budgets, and team performance, delivering status updates to clients and internal leadership.

Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, preparing financial reports and change orders, and mentoring Project Engineers while ensuring scope and deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Proven ability to manage small teams
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Strong financial acumen
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience managing subcontractors
• Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel

Responsibilities

• Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
• Develops budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders and other reports as necessary.
• Delegates work and serves as mentor to Project Engineers. Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
