Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee smaller projects or portions of larger ones, ensuring schedules and deadlines are met. You will develop client relationships, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of experience, with strong skills in negotiation, communication, and financial analysis. This is a hands-on leadership position within a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Proven ability to manage small teams.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors and budgets.
• Proficient with CADD, ERP, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
• Develops budget analysis reports and other reports as necessary.
• Delegates work and mentors Project Engineers.
• Provides leadership to project team to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Trains and mentors less experienced positions.
