Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a large project team and manage multiple projects. You will oversee staffing, performance, budgets, and client communications, aligning strategies with company goals.

Ideal candidate has a engineering degree, 12+ years of experience including 5+ years in people management, with strong leadership and public speaking skills. The role is on-site and offers comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience, including minimum 5 years’ people management experience
• Mastery knowledge of applicable systems design (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and design engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of employees, clients and contractors
• Strong leadership skills
• Proven ability to lead a large team
• Strong public speaking ability
• Strong computer skills, including CAD, ERP and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Provides project status updates to client and leadership.
• Maintains solid client relationships and sources opportunities for revenue.
• Develops and implements strategies.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Delegates work and mentors the project team.
• Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
