Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an Intermediate Construction Professional for field work on client sites. This role performs field engineering, site administration, design and construction tasks, and supports estimating, scheduling, and quality control with supervision.

Work is field-oriented with 100% travel across the United States; duties include reporting, site coordination, and ensuring compliance with drawings and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist site construction lead with the overall field operations including scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure safety, quality, and adherence to drawings and project intent.
• Ensure work aligns with the project schedule; escalate delays to Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review by site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label them.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design revisions for construction.
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager.
• May oversee key trades/subcontractors for the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with Project Manager for client approval.
• Provide clear, concise correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records and files per CDM Smith requirements.
