Job summary

UES is seeking motivated individuals at all experience levels to join our Construction Materials Testing teams. You’ll work in the field on projects shaping communities, with hands‑on training, opportunity to gain industry certifications, and a path from Technician I to Technician IV based on qualifications and goals.

Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, with training and mentoring to build skills in concrete, soils, asphalt testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or relevant technical training is preferred.
• 3+ years of field experience in construction materials testing or related discipline for higher levels.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and test procedures.
• Willingness to travel and operate in outdoor field conditions.
• Ability to document results clearly and communicate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on concrete, soils, asphalt, and related materials.
• Record test results, prepare daily field reports, and communicate findings to project managers.
• Observe and document field activities in accordance with project specifications and standards.
• Operate and maintain specialized field testing equipment and ensure calibration.
• Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and contractors to support QC/QA activities.
