Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager to lead field execution of repair activities in Granite City, IL. You will coordinate field teams, contractors, and client personnel to ensure safe, efficient work aligned with budgets and schedules.

This on-site role focuses on translating inspections into actionable repair scopes within asset integrity programs. The ideal candidate has strong field leadership, 8+ years in industrial repair, and experience with structural and infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent field experience.
• 8+ years in construction coordination or industrial repair execution.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries (power, oil & gas, refining, chemical, manufacturing, steel, mining).
• Strong field leadership, scheduling, and logistics management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field execution of repair and construction projects.
• Serve as primary field contact ensuring alignment with scope, safety, and client expectations.
• Plan daily field operations and logistics; track progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Support outage/shutdown execution when needed.
• Coordinate teams, contractors, materials, and equipment for efficient field work.
• Ensure QA/QC, documentation, and project closeout records.
