Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager to lead field repair and asset integrity projects in Granite City, IL. You will coordinate on-site teams, contractors, and client personnel to deliver safe, efficient work aligned with schedule, budget, and quality targets.

The role requires 8+ years in construction coordination and a BS in engineering or related field, with travel as needed and a strong focus on safety and QA/QC.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field, or equivalent field experience.
• At least 8 years in construction coordination or industrial repair execution.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries (power, oil & gas, refining, chemical, steel, mining).
• Strong field leadership to manage crews, contractors, schedules, and logistics.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field execution of repair and construction projects leveraging inspection findings.
• Serve as primary field contact, aligning work with scope, safety, and client expectations.
• Plan daily field operations, including access, scheduling, logistics, and sequencing.
• Track progress, budgets, schedules, risks, and report status to leadership.
• Support outage and shutdown execution as needed.
• Monitor QA/QC, and ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
• Mentor junior field staff and coordinate with client operations teams.
