Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Construction Coordinator & Scheduler to support Asset Integrity program execution and repair services for a local client in Granite City, IL.

You will coordinate field execution of repair and construction projects across structural, civil, mechanical, and infrastructure inspections, under the Construction Manager. This role suits someone with industrial construction or maintenance experience aiming to grow leadership within Asset Integrity programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of industrial construction, maintenance, repair, or field coordination experience.
• Experience with industrial facilities such as power generation, steel, manufacturing, petroleum, chemical, mining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction documents.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating contractors, crews, materials, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day repair and construction activities.
• Plan field activities, scheduling, logistics, and work sequencing.
• Communicate between contractors, inspectors, client personnel, and Orbital project teams.
• Track progress and report schedule impacts to the Construction Manager.
• Support outage and shutdown activities as required.
