Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a field operations professional for a project-based role at our Phoenix, AZ site. You will coordinate scheduling, reporting, and quality control, overseeing subcontractors and ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.

You will prepare daily/quality reports, manage on-site records, and support the Project Construction Manager with progress tracking and client communication. Occasional travel is 100% of the time to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of construction or field operations experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of construction or field operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with the site construction lead, including scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and alignment with drawings and specifications; enforce schedule adherence.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports; maintain project records.
• Take progress photos and label them; assist monthly progress reporting.
• Ensure use of latest design drawings for construction; support Project Construction Manager as needed.
• Assist with contract extras, progress payments, and client communications; manage project documentation.
