Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a site-based professional to oversee field operations at a Phoenix project site, coordinating scheduling, reporting, safety, and subcontractor activities. The role requires leading teams to meet drawings and specifications while ensuring quality and timely communication with project management.

You'll prepare daily and quality reports, maintain records, and support the Project Construction Manager on progress tracking and contractual extras.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine years of construction or field operations experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of construction or field operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor’s degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with the site construction lead, including scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings and specifications.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and official project records.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label each photograph.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions.
• Support the Project Construction Manager as needed and assist in managing key trades/subcontractors.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager.
• Maintain on-site records per the company’s QC standards and document control procedures.
• Follow the Quality Policy and work instructions to maintain project excellence.
