Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company is hiring for an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, design and construction tasks at client project sites across the United States. Work includes scheduling, quality control, safety adherence, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure drawings and specifications are met.

Role involves writing daily and quality inspection reports, taking progress photos, and assisting with monthly progress

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings, specifications, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, meets quality control measures, and the drawings' intent.
• Ensure all work adheres to the established project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label/identify each photograph.
• Assist site construction lead or Project Construction Manager with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager.
• May be responsible for key trade/subcontractor in support of the overall project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with the Project Manager.
• Provide proper correspondence with project management and clients to handle issues clearly and professionally.
• Maintain on-site records and files per CDM Smith document control requirements.
• Follow the Quality Policy and Quality Systems Work Instructions.
