Job summary
A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking a Technical Assistant (TA) to assist in Construction Inspection projects across Pennsylvania. This entry-level role involves reviewing drawings, inspecting construction activities, conducting field measurements, and ensuring compliance with traffic control and erosion control measures. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and preferably one year of construction inspection experience. A commitment to completing necessary training is essential.
Qualifications
High School diploma or relevant experience can be used in place of diploma.
Minimum of one year construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge inspection projects is preferred.
Willing to complete PennDOT (12) web-based TCI training modules preferred.
Responsibilities
Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
Inspects and documents construction activities on major transportation projects.
Conducts field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
Inspects work site for proper traffic control setup.
Inspects erosion control devices to ensure compliance with permits.
