Job summary

A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking a Technical Assistant (TA) to assist in Construction Inspection projects across Pennsylvania. This entry-level role involves reviewing drawings, inspecting construction activities, conducting field measurements, and ensuring compliance with traffic control and erosion control measures. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and preferably one year of construction inspection experience. A commitment to completing necessary training is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or relevant experience can be used in place of diploma.
• Minimum of one year construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge inspection projects is preferred.
• Willing to complete PennDOT (12) web-based TCI training modules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
• Inspects and documents construction activities on major transportation projects.
• Conducts field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation.
• Inspects work site for proper traffic control setup.
• Inspects erosion control devices to ensure compliance with permits.
