Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to assist senior inspectors in roadway and bridge inspection in Atlanta, GA.

You will review plans, monitor field activities for quality, perform field audits, and document findings with reports while upholding safety standards. Qualified candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree or related field with required experience, plus GDOT certifications or the ability to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with required roadway/bridge inspection experience
• Equivalent combination of training and related experience accepted
• Must obtain GDOT certifications within ~6 months

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors in construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage systems for conformance to project requirements.
• Observe and support materials sampling and testing.
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold safety practices in all construction activities.
