Job summary
Greenman-Pedersen Inc. seeks motivated Construction Inspectors to join our team across West Virginia sites. You will perform daily field inspections on bridges, roads, and utilities, document progress, and ensure adherence to plans and standards.
A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate has experience in construction inspection, the ability to read complex plans, and comfort using SiteManager/ProjectWise.
Qualifications
- Must have construction inspection experience.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specs.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping required.
- Able to work independently with a project team when needed.
- Proficient in English for reading, writing, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily field inspections for heavy highway and bridge projects.
- Measure, compute, and record contract quantities.
- Read and interpret plans, specs, and standards.
- Collect samples and perform tests per project standards.
- Document progress, conformance, quantities, and changes.
- Enter data into SiteManager and ProjectWise systems.
- Communicate issues to managers and contractors.
- Identify unsafe conditions and report promptly.
