Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks Construction Inspectors to join our West Virginia team on bridges, roads, and utility projects. You will perform daily field inspections, measure contract quantities, read plans, and document progress.

A focus on safety, teamwork, and quality will drive success as you support ongoing WVDOH collaborations. Qualified candidates have WV experience, a WVTRET certification, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

Must possess a WVTRET Certification (any Level 1-5) or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Familiarity with WVDOH SiteManager and ProjectWise applications is preferred.
Able to work independently and with a GPI/WVDOH Project Team.
Must be able to work contractor hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform daily field inspections and observations of contractor work on heavy highway and bridge projects.
Measure, compute, record, and maintain contract quantities for payments.
Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and standards.
Conduct material sampling and testing per project standards.
Ensure work/materials meet plans and specs.
Document daily project progress and conformance/nonconformance.
Record progress in SiteManager and ProjectWise; communicate issues to PMs.
