Job summary

A consulting firm is looking for a Technical Assistant based in Pennsylvania to assist with Construction Inspection projects. This entry-level position requires reviewing drawings, inspecting construction activities on major roadways, and conducting field measurements. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma (or relevant experience) and preferred experience with PennDOT projects. Qualifications

• High School diploma or relevant experience can be used in place of diploma.
• Minimum of one (1) year construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge inspection projects is preferred.
• PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection.
• Inspect and document construction activities on major transportation projects.
• Conduct field measurements for pay item documentation.
• Ensure proper traffic control setup on work sites.
• Inspect erosion control devices and ensure compliance.
