Job summary

MasTec is seeking a Field Construction Fiber Splicing Supervisor to lead a crew of fiber splicers, oversee splicing, activation, testing, and troubleshooting, and deliver projects safely and on schedule. The role emphasizes leadership, customer interaction, and adherence to safety practices.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple crews, build team skills, and ensure high-quality workmanship while maintaining strong client relations in a dynamic field environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of fiber splicers to deliver high-quality work with expertise in splicing, activations, testing and troubleshooting.
• Develop team skills and knowledge in fiber splicing and related field activities.
• Direct multiple crews and supervise job-site activities to ensure on-time, safe project delivery.
• Support the company's safety culture and drive adherence to safety standards across crews.
• Ensure high level customer service when interfacing with customers for escalated issues.
• Drive teams to meet deadlines and produce quality projects.

Responsibilities

As aField Construction Fiber Splicing Supervisor, you are responsible for leading a team of Fiber splicers who produce high-quality work while using specialized skills in splicing, activations, testing, troubleshooting, and more to make a difference. In addition, you will:

• Provide leadership in the utility construction industry
• Develop your team’s skill set and knowledge of fiber splicing
• Gives direction to multiple crews and their Job-site activities
• Support the company-wide safety culture
• Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects
• Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers for escalated issues

Qualifications

About You:

• Must be familiar with Comcast Genesis, node splits, and Comcast maintenance technician work
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card for driving purposes (Applicants are subject to an MVR review and must meet company standards for a safe driving record)
