Job summary

MasTec Communications seeks a Field Construction Fiber Splicing Supervisor to lead a team of fiber splicers, overseeing activations, testing and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality telecom construction work on customer projects.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with Comcast Genesis, node splits, and Comcast maintenance work, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain a DOT medical card; strong leadership and safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of fiber splicers in telecom construction.
• Knowledge of splicing, activations, testing and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card; MVR review may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the utility construction industry.
• Develop team’s skill set and knowledge of fiber splicing.
• Direct multiple crews and their job-site activities.
• Support the company-wide safety culture.

As a Field Construction Fiber Splicing Supervisor, you are responsible for leading a team of Fiber splicers who produce high-quality work while using specialized skills in splicing, activations, testing, troubleshooting, and more to make a difference. In addition, you will:

• Provide leadership in the utility construction industry
• Develop your team’s skill set and knowledge of fiber splicing
• Gives direction to multiple crews and their Job-site activities

• Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects
• Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers for escalated issues

Qualifications

About You:

• Must be familiar with Comcast Genesis, node splits, and Comcast maintenance technician work
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card for driving purposes (Applicants are subject to an MVR review and must meet company standards for a safe driving record)
