Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Field Supervisor to lead field crews on telecom projects across the United States. This role focuses on directing crews, mentoring teammates, and maintaining high safety and quality standards on-site.

The candidate should have fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience, plus hands-on fiber engineering knowledge with equipment such as fusion splicers and OTDRs. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card are required.

In addition, you will:

• Give direction to multiple crews and their job-site activities
• Develop your team’s skill set and knowledge of telecom
• Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers
• Lead by example and support the company-wide safety culture
• Drive your team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects

Qualifications

• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
• You are looking for long-term projects
• You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
• You have fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience
• You are an expert in fiber engineering and have knowledge of fiber equipment (i.e. fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter)
• You enjoy problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• You embrace the challenge of coaching and mentoring your team
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card for driving purposes (Applicants are subject to an MVR review and must meet company standards for a safe driving record)
