This Intermediate Construction Professional role performs fundamental to moderately complex field engineering, site administration, design and construction tasks at client project sites.

The position operates under general supervision and may be field- or office-based depending on project needs, with 100% in-field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations from scheduling, daily reports, quality control, conformance to drawings and specs.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to project schedule; escalate delays to Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs and label each photograph.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use latest design drawing revisions.
• May provide assistance to Project Construction Manager.
• May oversee key trade/subcontractor as needed.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with Project Manager.
• Provide clear correspondence with management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records per CDM Smith document control requirements.
• Follow Quality Policy and Quality Systems Work Instructions.
