Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, design and construction tasks, estimating, quality control, scheduling, and safety adherence for assigned projects. This role operates 100% in the field at client sites with possible field or office work, under general supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 9 years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations including scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, adherence to drawings and specifications, and communication with subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site leader or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs and label them; assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• May provide assistance to the Project Construction Manager and oversee key trades/subcontractors.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Maintain clear, professional correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records per The Perry Group document control requirements.
