Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at client project sites across the United States. The role focuses on field engineering, site administration, design and construction, estimating, quality control and scheduling under general supervision.

Work may be performed in the field or office. You will coordinate with the site construction lead, oversee subcontractors, prepare daily/quality reports, capture progress photos, and assist with monthly progress

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformances to drawings and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and conformance to drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule and escalate delays as needed.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports as records.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label them accordingly.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure latest design revisions are used.
• May support Project Construction Manager and assist with key trades or subcontractors.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with the Project Manager.
