Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, and construction coordination at client project sites. Work may occur in the field or office depending on project needs.

The role focuses on scheduling, quality control, safety adherence, and timely reporting while supporting the Project Construction Manager in various duties across heavy industrial projects in the United States.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of relevant field construction experience.
• Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on field operations, scheduling, and quality reports.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and design conformance.
• Keep work aligned with the project schedule and escalate delays as needed.
• Prepare daily reports and quality inspection records for review.
• Take progress photographs and label each image.
• Assist with monthly progress reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawings.
• Assist Project Manager with contract extras and progress payments.
• Communicate project issues clearly with management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records per CDM Smith requirements.
• Follow CDM Smith Quality Policy and Quality Systems.
