Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, design, estimating, quality control, scheduling, and safety direction for heavy industrial projects. The role is 100% field-based and entails working at client project sites across the United States, with supervision under a Project Construction Manager.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in construction management, engineering, and related disciplines, and be prepared

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience; degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on field operations from scheduling to daily reports and quality control.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and conformance to drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site leads.
• Take progress photos and label them for records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent with nine years relevant experience

Associate degree with six years relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline with three years relevant experience
