Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, design and construction support at client project sites across the United States.

The role involves coordinating with the site construction lead to manage scheduling, daily and quality control reports, and communication with subcontractors, with responsibilities that span field and office settings as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports and communication with subcontractors as required.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure work is safe, correct, and meets quality control measures per drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write daily reports and quality inspection reports for review and documentation.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label each photograph.
• Assist with monthly progress reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design revision for construction.
• Provide support to the Project Construction Manager as needed.
• Assist with coordination of key trades/subcontractors.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager for client approval.
• Communicate project issues clearly with management and clients in a professional manner.
• Maintain on-site records per Perry Group requirements.
• Follow the Quality Policy and related Work Instructions.
