Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a versatile associate to manage delinquent payments while supporting delivery and warehouse tasks. You will contact customers by phone, document communications, and post payments to accounts, with occasional travel to homes for collection.

The role also includes loading/unloading merchandise and assisting with repossessions when approved by management. You must have a high school diploma or GED, six months in distribution or office procedures, and a valid state

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; six months in distribution/warehouse environment.
• Six months in payment collections or general office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Confers with customers by telephone to determine reason for overdue payment and review terms.
• Documents all correspondence and attempted correspondence with customers concerning accounts.
• Receives payments and posts amounts to customer accounts.
• Travels to customers' homes to collect late payments; assist with repossessions with approval.
• Prepares paperwork prior to legal action for severely late-paying customers.
• Logs details of work activities daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Operates PC, printer, calculator, copier, phone, and office software as needed.
• Assists with loading/unloading deliveries and ensures proper vehicle operation and safety.
• Records deliveries and maintains delivery records; ensures vehicle maintenance and fuel logs.
