Job summary

Accura is seeking a CEI Inspector to provide construction engineering and inspection services for roadway, bridge, and transportation projects in Georgia. The role includes field inspections, material verification, and extensive documentation to support project engineers and construction management staff.

Responsibilities cover inspections of asphalt/ concrete, structural components, traffic controls, field measurements, and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials, methods, equipment, and inspection procedures.
• Obtain GDOT-related certifications and pass required qualification tests within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, and overall construction quality.
• Inspect structural components and operations including foundations, excavation, piling, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, culverts, and backfill operations.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion and sediment control measures.
• Conduct field measurements and calculations for pay quantities and maintain accurate project records.
