Job summary

Sperry Rail, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver for a field-based role with extensive travel across the Eastern or Western US. You will operate hi-rail trucks and rail-bound detector cars, perform inspections, and support testing operations while ensuring DOT safety compliance.

The position is highly travel-intensive, with 3–4 months on the road at a time. Compensation is $21.60 per hour with travel and lodging expenses paid, and a sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement.
• Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively (3–4 months at a time) within assigned regions.
• Operate hi-rail trucks and rail-bound detector cars.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain DOT compliance.
