Job summary

Sperry Rail, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver to operate specialized hi-rail vehicles and support rail flaw detection testing. The role requires extensive field travel across Eastern or Western US for multi‑month assignments.

You will ensure DOT compliance, perform inspections, and support data collection in challenging outdoor conditions. Candidates must hold a CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement, pass DOT requirements, and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Meet the physical demands of the role (climb, walk, lift).
• Willingness to travel extensively for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively within assigned regions (3–4 months).
• Operate hi-rail trucks and rail‑bound detector cars.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance.
• Assist with rail flaw detection testing and data collection.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation.
