Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a National Catastrophe (NATCAT) Field Claims Specialist II to support Personal Lines. You’ll travel to catastrophe zones, conduct on-site inspections, and manage complex property claims from start to finish, ensuring coverage determinations and accurate estimates.

You will work in high‑touch environments, communicating clearly with policyholders and internal teams, while meeting regulatory standards and providing compassionate service in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related property claims experience or comparable job-related experience.
• Proficiency with Xactimate and prior estimate writing experience.
• Experience working on-site in catastrophe environments and handling complex claims.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property inspections and damage assessments in catastrophe zones.
• Investigate and resolve moderate to complex property claims from start to finish.
• Determine policy coverage and prepare estimates using Xactimate and other tools.
• Own the full lifecycle of claims including reserving and documentation.
• Provide proactive updates to customers throughout the claims process.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
