Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer - Trimble Designer CAD to support field layout for ducting, piping and related systems in Williamsburg, VA.

You will work with field crews, designers and detailers to collect and create points from contract documents using CAD and Trimble tools. The role requires 2–3 years in surveying or related work, 2 years CAD experience, proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in surveying or equivalent
• Two years CAD experience
• Strong computer skills; proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Self-starter with ability to work and communicate with others

Responsibilities

• Assist field crews and in-house designers and detailers by collecting or creating points from contract documents to establish field layout
• Perform field layout for ducts, pipes, conduits, elevations, sleeves, walls and hangers
• Use CAD and Trimble software/hardware to support design and field activities
• Maintain equipment and stay current with calibrations
• Work in field environments and collaborate with multiple teams
