Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer - Trimble Designer CAD to support field and design teams in Williamsburg, VA. The role focuses on collecting and creating points from contract documents to establish precise field layouts for duct, pipe, elevations, sleeves, and hangers.

You will work in the field and on CAD tasks, using Trimble hardware/software to ensure accuracy. The position requires 2-3 years of surveying experience, two years of CAD experience, strong computer skills,

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in surveying or equivalent vocational background.
• Two years CAD experience and strong computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation remain essential.
• Ability to read contract docs and coordinate field layouts with CAD data.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist field crews and in-house designers with field layout.
• Use CAD tools to create and verify field layouts (duct, pipe, elevations).
• Operate Trimble software and hardware for site layout tasks.
• Maintain equipment and stay current with calibration requirements.
• Collaborate with team and coordinate with customers on layout details.
