Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years in building trades or inspections.
• Valid State driver's license may be required.
• ICC Certification in building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or energy within 1 year.

Responsabilités

• Conducts on-site field inspections of buildings and structures for code compliance.
• Reinforces codes related to building, electrical, plumbing, and energy standards.
• Advises contractors, owners and others on regulations and construction methods.
• Enforces codes, issues stop-work orders, and pursues remedies when needed.
• Prepares cases for compliance actions and municipal court; testifies when required.
• Reviews construction plans and specifications; maintains inspection records.
