Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Field-based HVAC/Controls Technician to install building automation systems on site at customer locations across the region. You will interpret drawings, run conduit, install wiring and end devices, and coordinate with other trades to prepare for on-site work.

You will maintain inventory, complete required paperwork, and service equipment at client sites, traveling as needed and ensuring safety standards are met while delivering reliable climate control solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2–5 years HVAC/Controls experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; handheld device use.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems on-site at customer locations.
• Interpret control drawings, plans, and specs; install temperature control systems and end devices.
• Prepare for installation by reviewing layout, coordinating with other trades, and gathering materials.
• Maintain inventory and document all related activities; complete required paperwork and reports.
• Provide on-site service and repair of equipment; ensure customer satisfaction.
