Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) to install and service cable TV and broadband in customer homes. You will drive a company vehicle, perform installations, changes of service, and handle special customer requests while upholding safety standards.

The role emphasizes on-site customer service, equipment handling, and light sales through information about product options and promotions.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• General mechanical and consumer devices knowledge.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work in tight spaces and at various heights.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Installations of cable TV and broadband in customer homes.
• Perform new connects, disconnects, and outlets.
• Read signal levels and troubleshoot installation issues.
• Drive company vehicle and perform vehicle upkeep.
• Provide customer education on FCC rules and company policies.
