Job summary

Millboard is seeking a field-based Business Development Manager in the United States to drive growth by engaging distributors, contractors, architects and other trade partners. The role focuses on market development, specification influence and relationship management across the full customer journey.

You will travel regularly across the territory, including overnight stays, and collaborate with marketing, lead generation and technical resources from the UK Head Office.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a technical, trade-facing, specification or business development role within the construction or building materials sector.
• Face-to-face selling and presenting experience.
• Hands-on capability delivering technical demonstrations.
• Strong coaching, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.
• Existing network within US building materials, decking or cladding sector (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Drive sustainable commercial growth by building demand through distributors, contractors, architects and other key trade partners.
• Convert demand into profitable, lasting business relationships and Millboard presence across the customer journey.
• Travel regularly across the territory, including overnight stays.
• Collaborate with marketing, lead generation and technical resources both domestically and from UK Head Office.
• Operate as an individual contributor with no direct reports.
