Job summary

Gray Construction seeks an Assistant Site Manager for a traveling, field-based role. The candidate will act as the Site Manager off rotation, help develop scopes of work, manage schedules, and assist in bids and site coordination across multiple projects nationwide.

Ideal applicants have a related Associate's degree or 5+ years of construction experience, with strong leadership, safety, and communication skills. The position requires travel and on-site oversight across the US.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with 3+ years construction experience, or 5+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sector, especially food & beverage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and reports.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as overall Site Manager during off rotation for the Site Manager.
• Develop scopes of work and manage project schedules.
• Prepare estimates for self-performed work and assist with overall project estimates.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Ensure safety and quality standards on site in line with Gray's program.
