Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support field operations on diverse projects nationwide. This role involves coordinating site activities, reviewing drawings, managing small to mid-size projects, and ensuring safety standards on site.

You will assist in developing scopes of work, preparing schedules, and procuring tools and materials, while coordinating with subcontractors and vendors. Travel to project sites across the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent and 3+ years construction experience OR 5+ years progressive construction experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sectors, especially food & beverage is desirable.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and legal/contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Function as the overall Site Manager during off rotation for the Site Manager.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval.
• Assist in development and management of project schedule and prepare estimates for self-performed work.
