Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Travel Construction Manager (Civil Engineer) to oversee FAA ESA projects across the eastern U.S. and Caribbean. The role requires on-site construction monitoring, coordination with Project Engineers, and strict adherence to plans, schedules, and safety requirements.

The position demands 100% travel, including weekends, with reimbursements per company and federal guidelines. Eastern US residence preferred and ability to obtain necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET) with 4+ years in construction of facilities.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, plans and specs.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, and government stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Docs/Sheets, and bluebeam or similar.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Willingness to work nights/weekends as needed.
• Must have valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain U.S. passport.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary field point of contact coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
• Monitor construction progress against schedules and report risks and deviations.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to inform engineering teams.
• Support inspections, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• Maintain daily reports and as-built documentation.
• Assist with design modifications and field-driven adjustments.
