Job summary
Leidos in Reston, VA seeks Travel Construction Manager (Civil Engineer) to oversee FAA ESA projects across the eastern United States and Caribbean. This on-site role requires extensive travel, coordination with project engineers, COs, and contractors, and strict adherence to scope, schedule, and safety standards.
You will monitor construction activities, compile progress reports, review RFIs and submittals, and support inspections, commissioning, and closeout.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited) with 10+ years of construction experience.
- Experience with commercial/government facilities construction and oversight.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance; willing to travel 100% (including weekends).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale construction projects, acting as primary contact for contractors and engineers.
- Monitor progress, assess risks, track deviations, and resolve complex field challenges.
- Review RFIs, submittals, and work plans to support coordination and constructability reviews.
- Support inspections, commissioning, and project closeout; track punch lists and report status.
