Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Michigan seeks an Outside Sales professional to represent the company during the sales process, gather customer needs, and translate them into effective proposals for engineered wood products.

You will plan and deliver product demonstrations, identify new opportunities, and maintain ongoing communication with clients while meeting daily productivity goals. A Bachelor’s degree and two years of sales experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field required.
• Two years of prior sales experience required.
• Travel to customer locations and valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company during the sales process by collecting data on customer needs and design specifications, and developing sales proposals.
• Troubleshoots field issues which may be difficult to resolve or are complex in nature.
• Plans and conducts sales presentations for current and prospective customers; designs demonstrations of products and services.
• Researches, identifies and solicits new customers; generates sales opportunities through client needs analysis.
• Maintains regular updates with customers on products and services and how they meet requirements.
• May provide training to less experienced Outside Sales Reps.
