Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a hands-on People Experience Ambassador (HR Business Partner) to work in the field with operations across multiple locations. You will drive employee relations, investigations, policy guidance and workforce solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You will travel regularly to assigned sites, coach leaders, analyze turnover and attendance, and partner with PX teams to improve retention and engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressiveHR experience
• Experience leading employee relations investigations
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted HR partner with operational leaders and employees on relations, performance, policies, and workforce challenges.
• Independently conduct workplace investigations, document findings and guide disciplinary actions.
• Visit Coastal locations to engage with frontline employees and stay connected to operations.
• Analyze turnover, attendance, retention and other metrics to drive improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and retention.
• Oversee onboarding, changes, performance documentation and separations.
• Ensure consistent HR policy application and maintain compliant records.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, Training and other teams on HR solutions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in HR/Business

SHRM-CP or PHR certification
