Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling in Florida is seeking a motivated Human Resources Generalist to support on-site HR functions at our growing waste and recycling operation. You will bridge management and employees, administer HR programs, manage employee relations, and help drive a positive work environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field, 3+ years in corporate HR, and bilingual abilities (Spanish or Creole).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or combination of experience and high school diploma.
• 3+ years of experience in a corporate HR department.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Act as a site ambassador bridging the gap between management and employees.
• Provide on-site HR support including the administration of general HR processes, employee relations, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, productivity, and training and development.
• Support employees and managers with human resources related tasks.
• Onboard new hires by gathering employee documents, creating employee files, and ensuring they have all the tools to succeed on day one at the company.
• Foster an engaging employee environment to enhance retention.
• Attend and participate in employee relations meetings, terminations, and investigations.
