Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Clinical Account Specialist for the North Houston area to support launch and growth of our first wholly owned commercial product for severe hypertriglyceridemia.

You will educate HCPs, build strategic plans, and engage with hospitals and endocrinology/cardiology specialists to drive patient access and outcomes. The role requires 5+ years in pharma sales, AB selling, and robust account management within cardiometabolic diseases.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience in Pharma sales across the listed competencies.
• Experience in New Product launches.
• Account-based selling.
• HCP and IDN engagement.
• Cross-functional field team coordination.
• Prior experience independently managing a sales territory.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and other sub-specialties that treat FCS patients.
• Familiarity with treating cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases such as severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG).
• Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and develop territory strategies.
• Record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to addressing patient needs.

Responsabilités

• Engage customers to understand needs and develop effective business plans in the local healthcare system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to advance Ionis goals while maintaining compliant practices.
• Educate HCPs and staff on sHTG and diagnostic pathways; support patient resources and programs.
