Qualifications

• Six months of County Caseworker 1 experience or
• Completion of County Social Casework Intern program or
• Bachelor's degree with social welfare major or
• Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology and one year of related social casework experience or
• Equivalents combining 12 social science credits and related experience

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and family members to identify barriers to child well-being
• Guide families in forming plans for healthier behaviors
• Manage a caseload and keep reports/records current
• Provide protective and supportive services for children facing abuse or neglect
• Prepare case materials and present information at hearings
• Travel frequently to support families in varied environments
