The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Caseworker 1 in Huntingdon County to support children and families with service plans, conduct assessments, and perform investigations. Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework (12 credits) in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or a bachelor’s degree with 12 credits in these areas; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Education requirements may be met within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

Responsabilités

• Direct Support: Provide guidance and services to children and families according to their service plans.
• Case Reviews: Conduct reviews and judicial evaluations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Information Gathering: Speak with callers and respond to referrals during regular working hours.
• Investigative Work: Complete investigations and assessments for assigned cases.

Formation

Two years of college coursework in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; 12 credits

Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences

Equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 credits in related social sciences and one year paraprofessional case management
