Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Caseworker 1 in Huntingdon County to support children and families through direct services and service plans while gaining hands‑on experience in a dedicated agency.

The role includes case reviews, information gathering, and investigations, with a standard schedule 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Telework is possible up to one day per week, subject to office needs.

Qualifications

• Two years experience as County Social Services Aide 3 and two years college coursework incl. 12 credits in sociology/related fields.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology/social sciences or equivalent.
• Any combination incl. 12 credits sociology/social sciences and one year paraprofessional case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support: provide services to children and families per service plans.
• Case Reviews: conduct reviews and judicial evaluations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Information Gathering: speak with callers and respond to referrals during regular hours.
• Investigative Work: complete investigations and assessments for assigned cases.
